Graduate Student Council
Representing the interests of the ASU Graduate Student Body
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) seeks to address issues specific to
graduate students by promoting welfare and concerns of the graduate student
body, creating avenues for growth and interaction, and communicating with the ASU Faculty and Administration on behalf of graduate students.
The Graduate Student Council functions as the liaison between the
Graduate Student Body and the larger ASU Community in an effort to enhance the
overall graduate experience at ASU. The most significant mode of interaction
occurs via GSC Representation on 17 Shared Governance Committees (Committees). Shared Governance is the review and comment process for most
administrative policy proposals on campus (handbook).
The GSC also has several standing sub-committees (Sub-Committees) which seek to address specific areas of interest to the Graduate
Student Body. The coordinator of these sub-committees must be a GSC
Representative, but any graduate student interested in participating on a
sub-committee is able and encouraged to do so.
